Documentary requirements for maritime export and import: practical guide 2025
This container offers every advantage: high capacity and excellent maneuverability.
Double frequency and lower emissions.
Since the beginning of September 2025, we have been operating two weekly trains between the Fuenlabrada rail terminal (Madrid) and our own Port HUB terminal in Alicante. Back in July, we reconfigured the service together with ATHOS Rail as the operator to improve the line’s efficiency.
This allows us to offer new schedules, significant emission savings along the route, and greater stability. We started in the summer with one weekly train and, as the back-to-school season began, we delivered on our promise by doubling the frequency of this key rail corridor for freight transport.
Multimodal connection with the Canary Islands and Turkey.
With this service, JSV strengthens its multimodal connections and its commitment to rail transport as a way to reduce the carbon footprint of logistics operations. Thanks to its own port terminal, the Alicante Port HUB, this train connects directly and efficiently with the maritime lines to the Canary Islands and the ultra-fast route to Turkey (Road-Sea Turkey–Spain, just 4 days!).
This means that goods arrive ready to be unloaded and directly loaded onto vessels bound for Turkey or the Canary Islands. Likewise, cargo arriving at the Alicante Port HUB from the islands or Turkey can be distributed more efficiently and sustainably to the central region of the Iberian Peninsula through this rail connection.
With the reconfiguration of this route, the JSV Group has sought to improve the service and further reduce its carbon footprint. This is a private rail service that operates at the Fuenlabrada terminal in Madrid, offering more services and extended schedules, as well as at the group’s own port terminal in Alicante.
The train runs for most of the journey powered by overhead electric lines, resulting in an even greater reduction in emissions —around 75% less compared to road transport.
In pursuit of greater efficiency and environmental responsibility, JSV plans to reactivate the Miranda–Alicante connection in the last quarter of the year.
